So why Winni Chick?
I have been vacationing to the Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Winnisquam area since I was a small child. As an adult, living in Boston or by the Cape, I was still drawn to the NH mountains and the lakes. In the late 90s my husband and I finally bought a second home up here. Once our kids were school-age, we made the move and Meredith became our forever home. I’ve been a Winni Chick ever since!
After my husband passed, I felt the need to move in a new direction. I decided to get creative with something I love. I’ve been “winni chick” since I moved here, so I thought there should be more Winni Chicks and I decided to make it a brand. I wanted my design to be whimsical and playful and to embody the fun times had on the lake every day!
The lakes are a special place to be. They are not just a destination, but a draw, a feeling, a calming, serenity… To me it’s the greatest place to be. Now I’d like to share my creations inspired by fun times at the lake! Because being a Winni Chick is fabulous!
And why Wine Glasses on Winni?
Wine Glasses on Winni was forming in my mind to be maybe an intimate experience with wine, charcuterie boards and a beautiful the night on the lake. As I turned it around in my mind, I saw the actual charcuterie boards and began thinking of creative ways I could make them. The more I thought, the more ideas I had, making them interesting and unique, while still being useful. Perhaps it may still evolve but for now I’m enjoying the woodworking. I’m hoping you like the boards as much as I like making them! And that they elevate your entertaining mojo! Perhaps one day it’ll lead to more but right now I’m going to keep making fun boards!
I have my family to thank for giving me my entrepreneurial spirit, drive and creativity. I am extremely thankful for my beautiful children who were not only my photographer, model, social media designer and creative director, but always my rock, my strength, my reason. I love you!
