I recommend using the boards for serving and displaying. Especially the elevated versions.
Caring for and maintaining and keeping your wood boards looking fresh and new is not difficult. A few steps of proper care and upkeep will keep your wood looking great.
Wood over time will show its age and need care. Any knife marks can be lightly sanded out and you should re-oil your board periodically (more frequently the more you use it). Walrus oil is great but mineral oil from your local drugstore or hardware store is wonderful too. A couple of coats and some drying time in between and you’re good to go.
Please clean your board with warm soapy water.
Never submerge your board or put it or any wood product in the dishwasher, it will most certainly ruin it.
For harder to remove oily residue or food stains, sprinkle generously with salt and use a lemon cut in half to scrub it. Wash with soapy water again and you should be good to go.
